Staying safe online is easy if you follow these simple steps:

1. Privacy settings: Privacy settings keep people you don't know from accessing your personal details like where you live and your phone number. People who don't use their settings are able to be viewed by anyone in the world, you ma think why they are important so here is an example a girl who didn't put her privacy settings was viewed and then followed by a older man and then she  was so scared she called the police.                                                                          
2. Personal info: DON'T post personal information on the internet, If this is done people will potentially be able to find out your number,address,and anything you post about yourself, in some situations you can end up being bullied by someone you don't know because you have posted private information.Thing not to post are you address,phone number, school, email or other applications.                                                                                                                                      
3. Personal photos: Don't post photos of your self that are revealing or photos that show you doing certain things as people may look at these photos and bully you, a good rule to go buy is don't post anything that you wouldn't want your parents seeing as this will keep you safe.                                      
4.  Passwords: Keep all your passwords secure , this keeps hackers from posting lies and cyber-bulling you , if you don't keep passwords safe you are open to everyone and your account can be changed by any one at any time. An example of one the consequences for not keeping your passwords safe will be people posting lies and thing to friends and you will lose close friends       
5. Blocking: One way to keep safe online is by blocking people, usually on a website they will have  a block button,this button is to be used when someone is saying something which is making you uncomfortable , the worst thing you can do is continue to talk to this person as you will eventually become too scared to talk. Never give anyone personal pictures what ever they threat.                                                                                                                                                
6. Unsafe emails; If you have received an email or message with rude and unpleasent things DON'T reply just report the sender.If a message is sent to you saying download this for some sort of offer DON'T download as it may be a virus just put it into spam.
